Minutes of Inaugural Meeting

The meeting was chaired by David East.
 
Apologies were received from:
Tim Barnes, Pete Drury, Peter Davis, John Hartis, Jan Price, Roger Hamblin.
 
David East announced that Nostalgia Cars Limited had kindly donated £100 towards the club.
 
The purpose of the club was decided as:
1 To provide a platform for reciprocal assistance between owners and builders of Nostalgia cars.

2 To provide a source of information to prospective builders or buyers of Nostalgia cars

3 To provide a source of social interaction around the ownership of Nostalgia cars.
 
Two names were proposed:
1. Nostalgia Classic Sports Car Club

2. Nostalgia Sports Car Club
It was decided to call the club the Nostalgia Sports Car Club, NSCC. This name was formally adopted on a show of hands. .
 
It was agreed that the first two committee members would be David East and Andrew Appleton. A third member would be sought from those unable to attend the meeting. There was also a discussion regarding a member of the Nostalgia Company joining the committee as a non executive member.
 
Roy Gamblin offered his services as a contributor of content for newsletters and the website.
 

A database of members building cars should be circulated.

 
The annual fees were decided upon at £20 per member.
 
It was agreed that membership should be open to both owners and non owners.
 
A discussion took place over the content of the existing website. As this will need rebuilding and re-branding following the official formation of the club these were noted. It was agreed that members would be contacted by post with instructions on use of the website.
 
Andrew Appleton offered his telephone number, to anyone who required assistance with use of the website.
