Saturday 12th May 2007, Nostalgia Cars UK Ltd. held an open day to mark the launch of the new factory in Creech St Michael. The new light and spacious premises though not far, geographically, from the old factory in Taunton, is a world apart in terms of facilities. With modern offices above a spacious workshop, boasting a newly installed spray booth and ample parking space. |

Despite the forecast of poor weather and reports of torrential rain on Cornwall we had a fine day with just a couple of showers. visitors were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or stroll amongst the display of owners cars. Food and drink were available all day, for a donation to charity. Our thanks to Emma Davis and her team of helpers for the hard work they put in keeping us fed. |

Prominent in the workshop display was the Ogle SX 1275 GT. This classic car from the 60's of which only 66 were ever built, and it is thought only 26 remain in existence, After 4 years of development, this is no replica or badged clone but the genuine article. The car is approved and backed by the family of the late David Ogle and Ogle Noor Consultants, to use the Ogle name and family crest on the ca,r with continuity of chassis numbers from the original production. The car is updated ,yet remains based on the mini floor pan with a GRP body bonded to it to form the monocoque. The car is available as a self build or factory built vehicle. |

On the club stand visitors had the opportunity to see and use the new web site. Completely redesigned and in a more user friendly format, the new web site is open to everyone. The Boardroom provides a forum for members to discuss all aspects of Nostalgia Cars , motoring in general and both past and future club events. A new innovation is that members may ask for technical help direct to, and receive answers from from Nostalgia Cars UK. It doesn't replace calling the Factory for help, it opens another communication channel. The advantage of using the Boardroom to do this is that the answers are documented and available to others. Response to the new web site was encouraging. |
